The Sound of the World by Heart

The Sound of the World By Heart

Sometimes what you don’t see is what matters most…

An experiment in social isolation turns into a journey of self-discovery as a photojournalist commits to spending sixty days in New York city without talking to a single person.  More than just an exercise in observation and self-control, he’s hoping to forget a troubled past and mend a broken heart.  But the city has a sneaky way of throwing the best laid plans and noble efforts to waste, revealing secrets that lie right in front of him. All he has to do is open his eyes…

A touching, vividly illustrated journey through contemporary modern New York, exploring what it takes to find yourself — and maybe your soul mate — in the middle of a crowded, bustling modern world.

About THE CREATOR

Giacomo Bevilacqua, Writer / illustrator

Giacomo Keison Bevilacqua is an Italian-born writer and cartoonist best known for his long-running and award-winning daily comic strip Panda Likes, with more than twenty volumes of cartoons published in Italy, France, and Belgium, as well as numerous animated short films and popular merchandise starring the beloved character.

He began his career as a writer for comedy TV shows and stand-up at the age of 20 before transitioning to a career as a cartoonist in 2006, with John Doe for the publishing house Eura Editoriale.  This long-running series led to illustrating other projects, such as Homo Homini Lupus and a G.I. Joe miniseries for IDW Publishing entitled Future Noir.

Following that, he moved to New York where he created his first original miniseries Metamorphosis, a 300-page urban fantasy thriller set in Rome. The success of this title led to his next original graphic novel, THE SOUND OF THE WORLD BY HEART, referencing ideas and feelings he experienced during those years in the Big Apple.

He is currently working on three new projects for 2017 and 2018, including a new adventure of the popular character Dylan Dog, a horror graphic novel titled Lavender, and a 720-page series called Attica.
