It’s official: Magnetic books have earned a whopping SEVEN nominations in this year’s Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards! 

(For anyone keeping track, that’s SEVENTEEN in our first four years of eligibility!) We couldn’t be more excited and proud of the amazing talent behind these oh-so-worthy nominations:

  • Best Publication for Teens: Watersnakes, by Tony Sandoval, translated by Lucas Marangon (Magnetic/Lion Forge)
  • Best U.S. Edition of International Material: Herakles Book 1, by Edouard Cour, translated by Jeremy Melloul (Magnetic/Lion Forge)
  • Best U.S. Edition of International Material: A Sea of Love, by Wilfrid Lupano and Grégory Panaccione (Magnetic/Lion Forge)
  • Best Writer/Artist: Tony Sandoval, Watersnakes (Magnetic/Lion Forge)
  • Best Painter/Multimedia Artist: Gregory Panaccione, A Sea of Love (Magnetic/Lion Forge)
  • Best Painter/Multimedia Artist: Tony Sandoval, Watersnakes (Magnetic/Lion Forge)
  • Best Publication Design: A Sea of Love, designed by Wilfrid Lupano, Grégory Panaccione, and Mike Kennedy (Magnetic/Lion Forge)

Voting for the awards is held online at www.eisnervote.com and all comic book industry professionals are eligible to vote. (Not sure if you qualify as a “professional”? Check out the site and register — they’ll let you know!)
